You know how I said my washing machine had flooded my basement, and my first port of call (after the laundrette) was going to be buying a new washing machine? Well, I did yesterday. I bought one! Yippy!! The old was had been dying a death since we moved last time... the dial gave up over a month ago and I have been turning the programme forward manually since then which has been a huge pain. And then, judging from the amount of water on the floor, the bottom must have just fallen out of the ol' girl!! She served me well, all these 7 years, and probably did 14 years worth of washing in that time... but then she died! Or did she?
I have never used my little bloggamjigthingy to tell someone something I haven't the courage to tell them face to face, until now... You see, I didn't use the 'dead machine' today, but when I just descended into the basement, I saw it was freshly 're-flooded'!!!!!!!!!!! The new machine, although absolutely necessary, was possibly not paramount!!! So Len, as I creep up to bed tonight (after having fallen asleep for 3 hours on the couch in my new contacts! Arrrgh!!!) I will battle with myself as to whether or not to tell you this face to face or just let you read this when you get to work in the morning!!! Whichever I choose, please still love me! Oh, and thank you for my lovely new washing machine!!
HAHAHAHAHA telling Len via your blog... class!

who installed the washing machine - presumably the guys who delivered it which means that they didn't do their job properly and they should come straight back and fix the machine and the mess.
want some help there ? i love being arsey when a job's been badly done. not that you'd have ever have guessed.

Hoses? Connection? Faucet? What was the cause?
I thought it was against domestic policy to buy a washer without getting a new dryer as well. ;)

erm, kelly... yes there is.
So, have you returned the washing machine yet?

I say this with much shame and derision, as I never anticipated I would be the kind of chick to say this, but, there really is nothing better than a good washer and dryer - especially a huge new one.

Amber: the more I read, the more I get to like you, girl. *grin*
I hope you got the dryer too, because you are well and truly sunk. Every time it comes up now, he will start dragging out photos of his mother's washing flapping in the highland sunshine...
