It’s been a long week with very weighty-weight-type-things pressing on my brain and sitting heavy on my shoulders. So, until I take the time to sit down and blog about them , how about some fluff to help fill your Friday night…
Apparently, this is my brain - and NO, I don’t not do drugs....
|
Your Brain’s Pattern |
|
You have a dreamy mind, full of fancy and fantasy. You have the ability to stay forever entertained with your thoughts. People may say you’re hard to read, but that’s because you’re so internally focused. But when you do share what you’re thinking, people are impressed with your imagination. |
After 20 some years of living away from the States, it looks like they would let me back in even if I had to take a test to do so....
|
You Passed the US Citizenship Test |
|
Congratulations - you got 7 out of 10 correct! |
And it would seem that I scare myself more than I scare you… Hmmmmm?
|
You Are 30% Weird |
|
Not enough to scare other people… But sometimes you scare yourself. |
Finally, if you tell me to act my age, you may find that I already am…
|
You Are 32 Years Old |
|
Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe. 13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world. 20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what’s to come… love, work, and new experiences. 30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You’ve had a taste of success and true love, but you want more! 40+: You are a mature adult. You’ve been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax. |

Take the quiz: “What type of designer handbag are you?(pictures)”
Dooney&Burke
Dooney&Burke… you are very sweet and comfortable with yourself. You love a good time and love to be noticed. Anything that’s cute or different and you make a beeline! Be careful with Daddy’s plastic, Lil’ Miss Shopper!

I’ve always been slightly jealous of those who were interesting enough to receive hate mail. Well, I guess for me it had to take me being uninteresting enough. I’ve just received my first hate mail and veiled threat:
Will it take a threat? very well then, a threat. If you don’t blog soon, you may never receive from me anything remotely connected with chocolate ever again.
Now go post something. Beeyotch.
I’m usually not one to be pushed around, but the beeyotch found my weak spot…
I am sooooo watching my snail-mail box now.

I’m behind times, I know, but I have just joined Flickr. And now? I’m in love. I’ve been messing around with it tonight and I think this is going to be the solution to my photo woes. I loved (and have missed) the ease of adding photo albums on Typepad, but I think Flickr is going to be even easier to add batch photos and more flexible to organise into groups
I have uploaded my pictures from the flood the other night, and as I find the time this weekend I will add more photo sets. I want to add a link to my side bar over there under ‘Photos’, but I have no idea how to do it. If anyone knows what they are doing on EE and wouldn’t mind helping me out I would be most grateful! Please, please, please....

***Update*** Thanks Kristal, I got my flickr link onto my sidebar. For the first time in nearly a year I took a look at my template code. Why am I so intimidated by it?

Len: You should post something.
Amber: But I don’t have anything to say.
Len: Well, google ‘nothing to say’, seach on images, find one that catches your eye and put it up. It works for any topic.

Yay! Nothing better than doing something nice for someone else to help chase the blues away. So today the almighty Buzz has declared a BIF day. I get to tell you a few sites you should visit. The result? My bloggy friends feel good about seeing their name in print on someone else’s site and you get to discover a new read.
My first blog it forward personette is Alison at AliThinks - She lives in small town France, she is smart, witty, oh so pretty. She always has great pictures and she gives video French lessons. How cool is that? She has even been know to send me packets of Ranch Dip mix to cheer me up… What’s not to love about Alison? Oh and there’s that size 90 thing going for her too!
My next blog it forward person(s) are(is) Sigmund, Carl and Alfred - You get wit. sarcasm and a whole lot of wisdom.
And finally - Beth of So the Fish Said. She needs no introduction from me, but really if you aren’t reading her (is there anyone out there that doesn’t read her already?) you are missing a treat. I never leave her blog without a smile on my face. She is intelligent, funny, absoultely beautiful and I fully suspect she is so thin her thighs do not rub together when she walks… which would normally cause me to want to wrap my fingers around her skinny neck, but her natural charm saves her.
Please go and say hello to them all, and why not Blog it Forward yourself? Buzz can tell you how.

This was from Stephanie, from Mom and More.
Accent: Mid Atlantic with a Scottish lilt
Bra size: A man must have started this meme
Chore I hate: Putting the clean clothes away
Dad’s name: LaVere Lynn - I lie not
Essential makeup: I have lived in Europe too long to believe or feel that any of it is essential… but the shaving the underarms - ESSENTIAL!
Favourite perfume: I am very sense orientated and I find many scents move me. I actually pick my ‘smell’ to go with the colour I am wearing and or the season and weight of clothing. Although I couldn’t possibly pick a favourite perfume I am rather fond of Cashmere Mist and I think it goes well with light pastels and natural colours. I would choose it more in the winter with a fuzzy sweater or in a floaty spring top. But always in something soft.
Gold or silver: My watch is a gold and brushed silver TAG. I chose it so I could wear gold or silver or white gold… or platinum. A girl can’t be too picky, can she?.
Hometown: I have moved too many times to have home town. I feel very much at home in Glasgow, Scotland - but I don’t think I would want to live there again.
Interesting Fact: Duelling is legal in Paraguay, as long as both parties are registered blood donors.
Job Title: Mother - aka general dogsbody. Last job? I was general manager of my own comapny.
Kids: Hannah, Heidi, Daniel, and Rosie - In moments of madness I would like to have more. But since hubby’s been snipped it just ain’t gonna happen!
Living arrangements: A nice big house on the outskirts of Brussels, Belgium. Well, it will be nice when we finish renovations.
Mom’s birthplace: Small town Nebraska
Number of apples eaten last week: At least 3 or 4
Overnight hospital stays: 4 with the babies - 2 with miscarriages - 1 for Tonsillectomy - 1 for food poisioning.
Phobias: mice and rats - and other rodent like things *shudder*
Question you ask yourself a lot: ‘Now where was I going before I was interupted?’
Religious affiliation: With God… yes.
Siblings: 2 Sisters
Time I wake up: Around 6:30 on weekdays and as late as possible on weekends.
Unnatural hair color: Sometimes I get highlights in the winter.
Natural hair color: Dark blonde
Vegetable I refuse to eat: I think I can eat almost any vegetable.
Worst habit: Chocolate and icecream… and chocolate icecream
X-rays: teeth, back
Yummy food I make: Yummy is in the mouth of the taster… Why don’t you come for dinner and you can tell me if it’s yummy.
Zodiac sign: Someone told me once but I can’t remember.
Tag you’re it!

What’s up with blogroll’s pinger-ma-jinger? It is making my 3 minute, quickfix, updated blogs read very unfruitful! Don’t they know I have a blog reading system I’d like to stick to here?
